Terms of service
Effective · Applies to the Early app (app.early.mobile)
1. Agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and Amir Jan Torkamani ("we", "us"), the independent developer of Early, based in Sweden. Our contact details for legal notices are listed in section 12. By installing or using Early you accept these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Early on devices you own or control, for your own use. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, reverse engineer or sublicense the app except where applicable law expressly permits it. This license is subject to your mandatory consumer and other statutory rights.
3. Free tier and Early Premium
- The core of Early is free and stays functional without a purchase. Early Premium adds extra wake-up tasks, travel tools, and appearance options.
- Early Premium is available through Google Play as an optional auto-renewing subscription (monthly or yearly) or as a one-time lifetime purchase. The price is shown in Google Play before you buy and may vary by region.
- If a free trial is available, the store shows its length and renewal terms before you subscribe. Free trials are limited to eligible new Premium subscribers.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You cancel in your app Google Play subscription settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. The lifetime plan is a one-time purchase and does not renew. Refunds are handled by Google Play under its own policies.
- A previous purchase can be restored on a new device with "Restore purchases" in the app.
4. Alarms are not guaranteed
Do not rely on Early as your only safeguard for anything critical. This includes a flight, an exam, a shift, or medication. Whether an alarm actually rings depends on things outside our control: your device being on and charged, volume and Do Not Disturb settings, operating-system battery optimizers, the app not having been force-stopped, and permissions you have granted. Early asks for the permissions it needs to ring reliably, but no alarm app can guarantee your device will wake you. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damages resulting from an alarm that did not ring, rang late or was dismissed.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Early unlawfully, to interfere with its operation, or to attempt to circumvent its purchase validation.
6. Intellectual property
Early’s original software, branding, design, and artwork are owned by us and are protected by copyright and other laws. Third-party libraries, fonts, data, trademarks, radio content, and other materials remain subject to their respective licenses and rights. These terms give you no rights to our trademarks or branding.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
Early is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of Early. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for Early Premium in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
9. Changes
We may update the app and these terms. Material changes will be published here with a new effective date and, where appropriate, brought to your attention in the app. We will obtain renewed acceptance or give any notice, cancellation, or other rights required by applicable law; continued use alone does not remove mandatory consumer protections.
10. Termination
You can stop using Early at any time. If you enabled the optional Uninstall safeguard, turn it off in Android Settings first, then uninstall the app normally. We may terminate this license if you breach these terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Sweden. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the Swedish courts, without limiting any mandatory consumer protections of the country you live in.
